Minister with Youth (Grds 6-12)

JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Minister with Youth is to provide leadership and oversight
of First Baptist Church’s Youth Ministry; leading youth to begin a relationship with
Jesus, discipling them in their spiritual growth, and teaching them to serve God and
others with their lives.
The Minister with Youth is supervised by the Senior Pastor and coordinates all youth
ministries with the Youth Committee.
QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS – Must exhibit a personal and growing relationship with God, a teachable spirit, a
healthy family life, and seek to be above reproach in all areas of life.- Must be capable of creating and executing a long term vision for FBC’s youth
ministry.- Must demonstrate a genuine love and maintain a good rapport with young people
and their families.- Must possess communication, organization and administrative abilities.- Must be able to work with the staff of FBC and be available for staff meetings and
other administrative type meetings as is required.- Must be flexible and able to change both daily and weekly scheduling when

Principle Function: To coordinate and oversee the youth ministry (Grades 6-12) of the church.

1. Understand and adhere to the Constitution and Bylaws of Missionary Baptist Church.

2. Knows the purpose, duties, and members of the church youth council.

3. Consults with appropriate church staff members in the planning and promotion of the church youth ministry. 

4. Develops and recommends to the staff and church youth council an overall youth ministry education and promotion plan.      

5. Serves as an ex officio member of the church council.   

6. Provides support for youth ministry administration.   

7. Promotes the youth ministry to the congregation. 

8. Complies with any other duties/responsibilities so deemed by the Pastor(s).

9. Considers membership in Bible Missionary Baptist Church (Strongly Recommended).

This ministry position is part-time/Biovocational. However, the church is willing to consider full-time is the right canidate is found.
